Jay Leno’s Garage is a giant rolling playground in which comedian Jay Leno and his well-known friends frolic with some of the most fascinating, powerful, rare, and often most dangerous vehicles in the world. Jay’s love for anything that “rolls, explodes, or makes noise” means the subjects range wildly from aggressive race-car drivers, to celebrity car collectors, to ridiculous comedians who have no idea what they are doing behind the wheel.
This is hard-core comedy and cars escapism. We like to push the limits— and Jay is always up for the challenge--whether he’s surpassing 200 mph in a Corvette, driving through flames in an armored car, or rocking a hot pink leisure suit in a Pink Panther car, we’re still trying to figure out just how wide Jay’s comfort zone can be!
There are no “typical” Jay Leno’s Garage shoot days. Each segment features a new cast of characters, cars and locations that offer their own unique set of challenges. When it comes to high-speed track days, recreating famous movie stunts, even shooting and driving tanks, some days can even get a little risky (see a Barracuda flip season 2!) The production has evolved immensely over six seasons and this season is no exception. Despite many changes in technology over the years, be it 4K cameras or the latest intercom system, the one thing that remains the same is a tight-knit crew that resembles a family.
